    <International Circulation>: We know that hypertension is a major risk factor in cardiovascular mortality especially due to damage to the target organs – the heart， brain and kidneys. What work， whether it be research， trials or registries， is going on right now to further investigate target organ damage in hypertension in Europe?

  《国际循环》：众所周知高血压是心血管死亡的一个重要危险因素，尤其是其对靶器官如心脑肾的损伤。目前欧洲进行了哪些工作（无论是调查，试验还是注册研究）以进一步研究高血压的靶器官损伤呢？ 

    Prof.Olsen: At the moment there are of course many small studies but the idea from the European Society of Hypertension is to commence a very large， multi-center study because what we don’t know is which markers to measure， what combination of markers would be preferable and we don’t know anything about how changes in markers during treatment impact on prognosis. These questions we really want to answer and consequently we are launching a large protocol topic.

    Olsen教授：目前当然有很多小型研究，但是欧洲高血压学会的意见是开始一项大型、多中心的研究，因为我们不知道那项标志物、什么样的标志物组合更适合，以及治疗中标志物怎样的变化将影响预后，而这些是我们真正想回答的问题，因此，我们正发起一项大型的课题研究草案。
